Writing is on the Wall for Print Media

It is only a matter of time. Save the trees.

How many times have we heard the expression “Instant-On Generation”? I grew up with that phrase (oops I gave away my age) and at the time it connoted TV and radio mostly. But it has never been more relevant than now with the advent of the internet, wireless communications, online journalism and the blogosphere.

Michael Oreskes, chief editor of the International Herald Tribune notes “in the long run every newspaper will find the biggest part of its readership online”. In the next breath he tries to justify investment in the future of print media and states that “print newspapers can survive”.

    1. I agree. It is inevitable. And that’s a good thing for tree huggers.
