If you aspire to have one of the top blogs in your niche then you need to pay attention to your blog posts. Watch this video and discover 7 blogging tips that are simple to implement. It does a decent job of summarizing what I have been saying all these years but it’s a little behind the times. They suggest 250 or 300 words per post? Umm, that seems a little short to me .. and lots comments as a barometer to your blog popularity? Not in this day and age with Twitter and Facebook diluting the stream. But all in all it’s a decent video.

I like keeping most posts in that 250-300 range since we live in ADD-land these days. However, I do enjoy the occasional detailed post.

It seems to be a widely held opinion that 300 words is the maximum length of a post. People can’t maintain concentration for any longer than that, apparently. If you think you might be composing a longer post than 300 words, perhaps the main message should be near the beginning.
