Windows VISTA won’t ship until it’s ready

Is this a surprise? Microsoft says that it’s newest version of Windows (Vista) won’t be available until “it’s ready”. Or in other words, it won’t commit to a deadline because Microsoft knows they can’t deliver. Considering also that it is still patching Windows 98 and XP, that means we could be in for a long wait folks.
That’s ok by me. I can wait:
