Virginia Tech Copycat Blogger is Charged
Peterborough, Ontario Canada is in the news today as blogger Joshua Bryn Bauman has been charged with uttering death threats and mischief on his blog.
A threat is just as serious as the real thing, DiClemente (city Police Sgt.) said. We take it very seriously. I should hope they take it seriously, but he also said: “After events like the shooting in Virginia, it’s common to see incidents with copycat elements”, DiClemente said. “Surely we are not the only jurisdiction where there were similar threats.”
Has anybody else heard of other copycat killers/bloggers?

RUSH SPRINGS, Okla. There is increased security at Rush Springs High School today after threats were made against teachers and students on the social networking site MySpace.
Grady County Sheriff Kieren McMullen says a female student discussed wanting to shoot people and when someone responded that she needed a list the girl produced a list.
McMullen says deputies will be in school hallways and police dogs will be patrolling around the school. The sheriff says he wants to make sure the students understand the seriousness of the situation.
McMullen says he plans to meet with prosecutors today to discuss the case and possible charges.
