Do URL Shorteners Pass Rank or Anchor Text?

A lot of people (yours truly included) want to know if URL shorteners (that we use for Twitter for example) will pass along Google juice (Rank) or Anchor Text. Matt Cutts answers this question for us with a resounding “yes” simply because the more reputable services include a 301 redirect. I use Bitly myself which explains it in a little more detail for you.
