Translation Services for Your Blog

November 16th, 2006 by Blog Bloke | 8 Comments

Recently Teri asked the Bloke how to add translation services to her blog. This is a good idea considering that 3/4 of all internet traffic is now international.

Here is the code that I created, so just copy and paste the code below into your template where your posts reside. Enjoy:

UPDATE: There are other methods that can also add country flags if that is your preference. Via Hoctro’s Place.

  2. I can’t make it work. Maybe I put it in the wrong place (side bar). Do you mind to check it and tell me what I did wrong? Thanking you in advance. Teri

  3. Hi Teri:

No, it doesn’t go in the sidebar. Take a look at the way I did it. It has to go within your posts.

Search in your template where it says “Posted by TICA MACHA”. I would put it near there (just above it).

  5. Translation services are in huge demand specially in some western countries where they don’t emphasis more on English but on there national language. But we can’t ignore the fact that English is becoming international language. India is a live example of it where the ratio of English speaking persons is increasing day by day and with that employment and growth opportunity are also tremendous. if you or your blog reader requires some helps in this respect please check the URL it may help.

  6. Thank you!
I am not much of a blogger. But I am a translator. So, I’ll see whether it can be useful and how I can modify it to my needs.
    Good luck!

  7. Mykhailo,
I doubt that a free translation tool can be of any use for a professional translator. I mean, for gettin a general idea of what a text is about it’s fine. But as a translator you should be able to do without.
