Thoughts of Rumsfeld
I don’t want to argue with the anti-war assertionists out there. For every reason to stay the course there is another why we shouldn’t. And the best reason is every time that another body bag returns home.
BUT with respect to Secretary Rumsfeld it seems that we are really talking mostly politics and not the facts. The fact is all the facts have NOT yet come out. The fact is Bush is ultimately responsibility because it was his and HIS decision alone to commit to war. The rest are merely advisors and beaurocrats, and we are not privy to their oval room meetings.
Perhaps that is THE problem because President Bush was not even privy to the information before we the public were, and THAT is the only good thing that can come from this investigation. The Commander-in-Chief MUST get this information in a timely fashion.
The fact is this spectacle is really about partisanship and getting Bush, and the Democrats are using Rumsfeld to get to the top dog. If Rumsfeld must go then can you spell P A T S Y ? The partisans are committing a pre-emptive strike to take over the White House without even an election, which means there is a war now going on two fronts - and that is not a good thing. Talk about terrorism.
Maybe there is justice after all given that the Supreme Court handed the keys to the kingdom to Bush. It’s pay-back time. What was it they said about what goes around… comes around?
I am as disgusted as anyone with the crimes that were committed. But no matter how much you may hate Rumsfeld, any attempts to have him impeached, castrated or whatever (at this time) is premature.
If heads do have to roll then let the patsies stand in line. Anybody got a samurai sword?
