Scoble’s new A List - Revenge of the Nerds

The Truth indeed hurtsI

I came across this post by Robert Scoble of Microsoft fame and was appalled by not only the cheap shots that were taken at Dave Winer, but also by Scoble’s self-serving high handed approach to the problem.

So far it seems that I got the last word on the matter. It may be older news now but it is important enough to deserve a comment, so here is my response that I left on Scoble’s blog:

I’ll be frank Robert. Most of us are sick and fed up with the Scobles and Winers labeling themselves as the cream of the blogosphere. A cut above the rest of us. The blue-bloods of blogdome that the rest of us mere mortals should grovel and “suck up” to.What do you expect when you create a class system like that? Of course the ‘peasants’ are going to throw tomatoes and yell “off with his head”. It’s human nature.

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news my friend but here is my advice. Both yourself and Dave and the rest of the rabble should cut the bullshit “A-List” conflab and don’t take yourself so seriously. Because believe it or not — most of us don’t.

Of course, speaking the truth may result in my never receiving a link from Scoble. For the truth does indeed hurt but I never was one to grovel or follow the crowd anyway.

Here are the key sentences that I found most revealing:

“Cause I know how this game is played. Once Dave is outta the way, they are coming after me.”

Shame on all of them. Nuff said.

    1. Geek snobs. I suppose it’s payback time for all that abuse in High School.

    2. There are 2 reactions to @Scobles (through my own observations):

      1. Many people still follow him!!
      2. Many people also said he’s arrogant/rude and unfollow him.

He had also asked Veronica Belmont to admit she paid Twitter to be placed on Twitter’s SUGGESTED USERS’ LIST. I am not even sure if it’s a publicity stunt in disguise or if it was a real argument or what, but I just take it as “entertainment”.

I keep neutral but I am following him to see what he tweets. ‘Curiosity’ always wins even if the person in unpopular.

kellys last blog post…qutequte: I don’t normally tweet my own horns…..I tweet my own er….WINGS!! I usually tweet other people’s buttons!! heeee

Didn’t curiosity kill the cat? ;-)

Devil’s Advocate: Doesn’t Karma go both ways?
