Scholars say Weblogs Pass Communication Test

Blogologists” assembled to discuss how blogs are changing academia, politics and traditional journalism. They see them as being important, but school is still out on whether they are journalism.

Are Weblogs a passing fad or a revolutionary new form of communication and publishing? That’s still an open question, but the presence of blogs in the academic environment makes it more likely that they’ll survive and thrive in the long term.

I have to agree with you, if it’s a tool for journalist why shouldn’t it not be considered a form of journalism? I mean the internet is so wide that there is a lot of chances that you can share it to everyone online.
