Return of the Web Browser Wars

Not that it will really amount to much of a war anyhow.

Microsoft has just released the much-awaited version 7 its Internet Explorer Web browser, and tomorrow the Mozilla Foundation will release the final version of Firefox 2.0.

The point is IE 7 has only (just barely) caught up to Firefox. But after tomorrow it will be left in the dust again. Yes, IE will always have a large part of the market share only because it is part of the Windows operating system that has the monopoly for all of the PCs out there.

But the writing is definitely on the wall that Firefox IS the browser to beat, even if the numbers never reflect that.
