Online Music Sales a Hit
Seattle online media company RealNetworks Inc. announced it has sold more than 3 million songs in a three-week campaign introducing its Harmony technology, which makes its downloaded songs compatible with any music device.
The promotion lowered the cost of the download of a single song to 49 cents from the current 99 cents. Rival Apple Computers Inc. offers downloadable songs for its iPod music player for 99 cents per song.
