New Email Feature for Blogger Comments

I notice that has added an “ follow-up comments” option. Which makes it even more convenient to keep track of your conversations rather than the several steps it takes to subscribe to a comments feed.

Although I appreciate the fact that is still adding more enhancements, the real feature that we are all looking for is inline comments.

Are you listening ?

  1. I just noticed it when I was commenting on a different blog.
I only use it when I think my comment could create controversy or if the discussion is getting interesting !

    Boke, what are inline-comments ? I really can’t get a proper defination so-far !
Can you give some examples ?

  2. Doh ! I got notified for my previous comment !
That e-mail was not very useful unless I was a fish !

Now I’ll get and e-mail for this comment too !

  3. When I say inline comments I mean like Wordpress shows the comments input box on the post-page immediately below the post. Instead of in a separate pop-up window like Blogger does.

  4. Oh I get it now !

Sorry I called you “Boke” !

  5. Just a thought, BB.

Its not possible to have inline. Its technical.

If they had inline, it would be http - non secure. And using Google account on http is dangerous.

The reason for extra window is to use https.

    Hope you get it :D

  6. So why should it be any more dangerous than any other platform?

And if it really is that dangerous then shouldn’t they be doing something about it instead of making us suffer?

    Just a thought :)

  7. I suppose another way of looking at it is we could throw a positive spin on it by saying that Blogger’s comments is more secure :)
