Mozilla Up, IE Down
Another Web browser usage survey is showing a familiar trend: Mozilla’s share is rising at the expense of Internet Explorer. The numbers released Monday by OneStat.com show Mozilla Browsers increasing to 7.4 percent of the global market share from 2.1 percent last May. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has dropped 5 percentage points to 88.9 percent during the same six-month period.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons why Microsoft set its sites on Google in a desperate bid to own the desktop/internet search market. It’s beginning to look like IE’s days are numbered, but then again never count out the 800 pound gorilla… more fine reading at Ziff Davis…
