Movable Type Back-Pedals Licensing

In case you haven’t heard, Movable Type has launched an upgrade (version 3.1) with a new user agreement in light of recent controversies over it’s MT 3.0 debacle.

A few months ago Movable Type 3.0 was released amidst cries of foul by users over increased costs for Six Apart’s popular blogging software. In lieu of losing it’s user base, they have opted to revise the MT user license so that personal users can purchase a license for as low as US$69.95 (5 authors, Unlimited web logs). The limited free version (1 author, 3 web logs, no support, etc.) is still available.

Just shows what a few pissed-off bloggers can accomplish. Blogger Power - YEAH!
