Mike Wallace Interviews Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Following in his defrocked colleague’s footsteps (Dan Rather that is), Mike Wallace interviewed Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tonight on 60 Minutes.

My impression is the president had better duck because as Saddam only knows, an interview with a prominent American journalist is usually a prelude before the bombs start dropping.

You can read more of Wallace’s interview at CBS.

I saw that program here in Costa Rica and thought the Pres. of Iran was pretty cocky, like maybe he has big plans in store for us!
    I’m glad I live here.

Yes, he does come across as overly confident facing down the world’s only superpower. But wasn’t it Saddam who said they were in for the “mother of all wars”? Look where he ended up.

Psychologists would call that denial. I would call it suicidal. But they call it martyrdom.

Thanks for the comment tica, and I’m happy for you too. But isn’t Costa Rica near where Jurassic Park is located? So you must have your challenges too. ;-) Cheers!
