    1. good find BB - a few good tidbits in that. However as I was watching it I found myself wondering if this was similar to something that we as bloggers have struggled with for a while now - comment spam.

It’s a little different - but this guy is leaving prerecorded video responses on other videos - his recorded videos have nothing to do with the video they are responding to and are just about self promotion. He even says that they are videos that don’t really say anything.

Sounds similar to spam comments which don’t really say anything of value and that are just about getting noticed or generating link backs. I wonder how long it’ll be until YouTube cracks down more on this type of stuff.

Don’t get me wrong - it was interesting to watch - but his strategy left me a little disillusioned with it all.

    2. I agree with you about the pre-recorded videos. If they aren’t relevant then they are indeed spam.

I must have missed that part. Admittedly I only half looked at it as I’ve been spending my day tweaking the template.

Still, I learned a thing or two about marketing relevant videos as I’m not that familiar with the video scene as you probably are.

I’ll have to crank up the camcorder and have a go at it myself.

Thanks for pointing that out Darren. Good catch.

    3. I’ve got a lot to learn on the video front - I can make them, but marketing them is a whole other kettle of fish.

would love to see your videos though - go for it!

    6. That’s a great YouTube video! These are actually everywhere on YouTube. I had no idea people were actually blogging about them.

Anyway, keep up the good work! I’ve subscribed to your RSS-feed for the blog. Big hugs all the way from Sweden!

@John, yes I know. Not sure why it is in violation of their TOS.
