It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood

blogging animated It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood Geez! A housewife’s webmaster’s work is never done. I’ve been busy today cleaning up TECHBloke. I put the new logo in the banner and had to endlessly fiddle with the formatting to make it look right in all the (known) browsers.

PLUS, I had to clean up the image in photoshop because transparent gifs are a real pain in the a$$ on a non-neutral background color.

AND I had to work on other aspects of the template to make it look a little cleaner. So there you have it … that was my day. How was yours?

    1. Pleez, give me a mop and a broom anyday! The color for my blog is orange (think rust). I dare not touch what ain’t broke.
Your header looks good. I know what you mean about sharp graphic logos being professional. I’m glad you kept the old character on BlokeTech. It really does add “character”. I miss the old BlokeBloke profile though. He looked old enough to have been there and back and ready to go again.

    2. Hi Tica. When you refer to “profile” do you mean my blogger profile or just the look of the blog?

The Blogger profile is still there if you click on my pic here. I also put my photograph in my FAQ file.

I know that you liked the head-banger animation, but don’t worry because I’m thinking of putting it in some of my posts once in awhile to spice things up.

And on TECHBloke, are you referring to the hooded blogger? Most things are still there, but just shuffled around a little.

Thanks so much for your input. I really appreciate it.

I hope you can get used to the changes. I really think it was necessary for branding purposes and to make it look more professional.

    3. Thanks for directing me to your profile. THAT’S the “old Bloke” I miss seeing. I know, change is good and you have to keep up with the times. Guess I should update my profile shot, too. I like the pic of me at the airport entering the country with my dogs and parrot. Seems like decades ago.

SO YOU KNOW, the internet has kicked me off 3 times today when I try and post a comment. Not sure why but I’m sure it’s me and not you.

    4. Hey Tica, you didn’t notice the head-banging blogger animation above! I put it in there just for you.

Now that you mention it, the only pics that I’ve seen of you are with a dark background and it’s hard to make you out. I would love to see something of you a little more clearly.

BTW, I haven’t seen the airport pic that you mention. Where is that?
