I’m Back in the Saddle Again!

Computer Cowboy Yes, it’s really great to be back in saddle even if I have to sit on it gingerly (if you know what I mean ;-).

It’s been hard getting back into normal blogging mode even if I have been off my game for just a short while. It’s amazing how quickly you can lose your rhythm.

Before my illness I could easily write several posts a day and still have more ideas left over for the next day. But now I’m hesitating and second guessing if it is a subject worthwhile writing about, and the words don’t seem to flow as easily and naturally as before. In other words it’s a struggle right now.

But what really blows me away is my stats are still quite good. My best posts are drawing tons of traffic and it is gratifying to see that my readers have stayed loyal despite everything.

It has also been a time for reflection and what the Blog Bloke is all about. I have to be true to myself and speak my mind or it’s just not worth the bother continuing. But doing so also means that I have to sometimes go against the grain of popular thinking and run the risk of pissing some people off out there. So be it.

Just the other day my daughter asked me if I shouldn’t be spending my time on more worthwhile things. It really took me off guard and made me think for moment, but my response came quite easily.

I told her I see a lot of things that are wrong in the blogosphere that need to be spoken about. In the desire to become successful and make money, sometimes things such as integrity can be easily overlooked. At times I feel like the proverbial lone voice crying out in the wilderness but that is what I see as my calling in the virtual world.

SO I just want to say from the heart thank you to all my friends for your support and being patient with me as I get back into the swing of things again. I hope to be back to producing good, quality posts on a regular basis again real soon.

I love you guys!

    2. Extremes? It must have been the menopause talking. When you say “unique”, that can be a good or a bad thing.

Thanks Mike. I know I can always rely on you to keep me on track and out of trouble. (But I think you’ve got your work cut out for you ;-).

    4. Thanks Avatar. Successful blogging and self-discipline go hand in hand. The more that you write, the more they will come. (I think I saw that in a movie once :).
