How The Internet will Revolutionize TV in 5 Years

I see that despite retirement tech visionary Bill Gates still manages to get his face in the news:

“With TV, in five years from now, people will laugh at what we’ve had… Certain things like elections or the Olympics really point out how TV is terrible. You have to wait for the guy to talk about the thing you care about or you miss the event and want to go back and see it… Internet presentation of these things is vastly superior.”

Bill Gates speaks Really? I’m already laughing. Hmm… flexible programming as opposed to strict broadcast scheduling. That’s a no-brainer don’t you think.

I mean come on Billy, tell us something that we don’t already know. Any YouTube boob with a broadband connection can tell you that.

But it’s really nice to see that Bill is still keeping on top of things. And wait, there’s more! Stay tuned folks because I hear that he is also writing another book. Although it’s not yet been confirmed, the word on the street says he’s calling it “Video At The Speed of Light”.

Can’t wait… via TECHBloke.

  1. There’s nothing “visionary” about Bill Gates at all. He just happens to be the most successful knock-off copycat of the century.
