How Google Search Really Works

Umm … a nice glossed over version of what really goes on behind the scenes.  No, it’s never really that simple but how can you not believe Matt Cutt’s smiley face.  Believe me beneath the squeeky clean veneer there is a seedy underbelly to search engines. Like how they are gamed by marketers, how Google plays favourites, how Google compromises our privacy,  how content curators get a free pass and honest, original content bloggers get thrown to the back of the bus.  It’s all about generating “content” for Google to make advertising income and the best content doesn’t always show up on the first page of the SERPS.

So dig a little deeper next time you Google it.  I won’t say anything more except click on the links below below if you really want to know what goes on.  Blog on!
