Google’s Gmail Spammed Again
According to John Gilmore, Gmail’s terms of service “don’t restate the law. They sweep it aside.” He sums it up like this…“They aren’t a common carrier, so the law doesn’t protect them for things that you do through the service — so you must indemnify them. They get all the benefits of common carrier status with none of the responsibilities.”
Hmmm, sounds like Google has a very clever legal department. But a gig of storage space! (Bloke shakes his head and wipes the saliva from his chin).
So besides being accused of stealing the “Gmail” name, now Google has reinvented the word “deleted”. The plot thickens…
