Google Update on Rankings for Long-Tail Searches

Matt Cutts gives us an update about the permanent algorithm changes Google has recently implemented.

It could also explain why I’ve noticed a dramatic improvement for BLOGBloke in the SERPS (search engine results pages).

  1. So the point I heard in this clip, as he so often points out, is “write good content and everything will just work”.

Yes, they’d probably keep tweaking the algorithms even if so many folks weren’t trying to game them, but the big driver for them, the reason they make 400 changes a year, is to close exploits, gaps, or loopholes.

Just write good content that another human being would want to read, G! will do the rest.

Thanks for the pointer to the vid!

@jtrigsby, that’s the impression I get. I just wish he would stress “original” content is preferred. ;-)
