Google Calendar? Pardon me if I don’t share in all the excitement
There’s been a lot of buzz about the recently released Google Calendar. I haven’t bothered entering the fray for one very good reason. I’m hesitant to put my private information on a web application created by a search company that is in the business of distributing information on the web.
One blogger notes: “So how long until Google Calendar offers ads based on our plans?”Ditto. But it doesn’t stop there. It won’t be long before Google knows everything about us. In fact I’ve heard from reliable sources there are plans to rename it Goggle. Or perhaps Google isn’t big brother after all, but it is just big brother’s bitch snitch.
But seriously, do you see where I’m going with this? Have I got you ear yet? I certainly hope so. Then again, maybe I’m just being paranoid. So VOIP me (notice the tongue in my cheek).

Sorry folks but I suffered a silly attack while writing this post. On the more serious side of life Cybercoder has a different take on it. From a user’s perspective it certainly looks like Google has created another winner and will no doubt have legions of loyal followers.

I never thought of that. It certainly is a scary scenario and a very real possibility.
