Fiddling With the Template
Er, I mean the Theme. Does it ever end?
I know, it’s the content that’s most important – but I am a perfectionist ok? Functionality and aesthetics are also important so please bear with me whilst I fritter away precious hours playing with the code.
Amongst the most notable, I’ve been making the recent posts section a little better ( hopefully) by making the thumbnails larger and adding some borders and spacing to separate the content and make it more readable.
I put a splash of color in the ajax menu buttons, simplified the subscription box and my “about” section in the top right-hand column. With the continuity of color I believe it looks more like a theme now than it did before. I’ve also been adding my news related tweets to the content.
Although some of these changes might have slipped your notice, all-in-all I think it makes for a more useful, functional, cohesive, better looking and improved site. (That was a mouthful).
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I altered the blog title and description a tad. Have you noticed? Please let me know what you think (or do you care).
By the way, are you also a theme-a-holic? Then you have my sincerest sympathies.
