Commenting @ Blog Bloke = Greater Page Rank

How’s That Might You Ask?

A reader recently reminded me why it is to your advantage to leave comments on this blog. You actually have three ways you can improve your blog :

 1. First of all, when you leave a comment you have a chance to get a in the top ten performer’s list. You will find it in the right-hand menu under the “Blokester Roll” menu. So the more comments you leave, the better your chances are for being listed.

2. Secondly, when you leave a  with your comment it will be followed by the search engines because I have removed the “nofollow” attribute imposed by .

3.Thirdly, I use the called CommentLuv which adds a in your comment pointing to your most recent blog post. Now that is sweet!

You win big three ways!

Some might call it bribery but I prefer to think of it as a reward to you, my loyal readers. So comment away and watch your blog go ballistic!

I should also mention that if you to Blog Bloke I will add you to my and feature you in a post (with another of course).

WHOA!

How’s that for putting my link love where my mouth is?

    Woohoo! LOL

I offer 2 outa 3 so far, not bad. I am thinking of the KeywordLuv plugin as well…so many like to spam the name field anyway, why not just make it “legal”.

The Blog Bloke sends high quality traffic indeed, even to a blog NOT related about blogging.

Here’s what I dug up from my Google Analytics account. The Bloke visitors view 4.33 pages/visit! Holy smokes. That’s even better than Google Search traffic. Bloke visitors spend a whopping 6 minutes on my site and has a bounce rate of only 30%. That’s WAY above my sites average and better than any referral I ever received.

I would like to thank Blog Bloke and all those who visited my site. :-)

I never think too much about what commenting does for my site. I am just a talkative person by nature, so I tend to leave my comments all over the blogsphere when I find something of interest. But it is good to know this information.

I also think it’s important for blog owners to respond to their reader’s comments. There’s nothing like leaving a comment and feeling as if it’s going into a black hole. If your posts get lots of comments I can see how a blog owner might not get around to answering each one, but if he/she doesn’t take the time to answer ANY comments it creates a void between the blog owner and the readers. It makes the blog more impersonal in my opinion.

Fortunately, you’re not in that category!

New visitor here - can’t remember how I got to your site but I’m glad I did!

i agree with this post… commenting helps a lot to get better page rank… but comments should not be vague or irrelevant… these comments may kill your blogs brand image also.. so make genuine comments always

And of course there are benefits for you (the blogger). By welcoming comments on your blog you are encouraging a sense of comunity where regular visitors can have a chance to interact with you and each other and of course you also get free content on your blog to draw even more search engine visitors.
