Comment Window Problems
I’ve received reports that some readers are having a problem with the comments pop-up window not maximizing, making it difficult if not impossible to leave a comment. It seems to be mostly Firefox users that are experiencing this.
As a work-around I’m recommending that you right-click the comment link and choose “open in new window/tab”. That should open the window maximized. If you use a mouse with a scroll button, clicking that should also maximize it.
If anyone else is having a similar problem please email me and let me know. In the mean time I’m trying to find a permanent fix that will automatically open the window maximized. If you know of a solution for this I will very much appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
BB

Sorry that I haven’t tell you before but certanly it’s a problem to drop a comment now. I had the same problem before but to tell you the truch I don’t remember how to correct it. However I’ll suggest you go to Settings/Comments and disable the ’show comments in a pop up window’. Let’s see what happened . I’ll keep you informed about any change or findings. Thanks for your comments in our blog.
Well that explains why comments have been down. I wish I had known sooner but better late than never I suppose.
Hmm, I really hate that ugly window without the pop-up. If I can’t get it to work as is I think this will be the last straw for me with Blogger.
Hey BB, thanks for the comments on my post about John Chow.
Also, you might want to consider taking this blog down, as it will hurt your Google rankings/SERPs once this site is crawled.
Also, your problems of importing Blogger to WP never really existed, as WP.com was able to import from New Blogger. Then, use self hosted WP site to import it from WP.com - its long, but worthwhile.
I actually like comments in the pop-up window, because then I don’t have to navigate away from the page to comment. Yes, I know I could right click and open the comments in a new tab, but that’s just too troublesome. And as for the comments window not being able to maximize, I didn’t think it was a “problem” because I have been using Firefox exclusively for so long now.
My main issue with comments is time. I do most of my blog reading lately when I first wake up, and the loud click of me typing will wake up my still sleeping boyfriend. Once we get a bigger place and I can move my computer out of the bedroom this will no longer be a problem, but in the meantime just remember that I am here!
Hey Kirsten. Long time no hear. I’m glad to hear you’re still lurking, albeit we’ve missed your terrific comments.
You make a good point. Why can’t they make noiseless keyboards? Sounds like a good suggestion for an entrepreneur out there. But just remember to send the Bloke a percentage of the profits.
Cheers!
Good point Sumesh. I changed to options to blog the search engines but still allow normal visitors.
Thanks,
