China blocks Technorati

By Blog Bloke April 29th, 2006 | 4 Comments

China has apparently blocked access to Technorati. So will it end up following Google, MSN, and Yahoo’s example of censoring sites for China? Time will only tell.

It may be hard to boycott Google… but Technorati? That’s another matter.:

“We’ve received a number of reports today that users in China can’t get access to the Technorati site,” says Adam Hertz, VP of engineering at the blog search company. “We’re trying to get more accurate information.”

Apparently the Chinese and Korean governments et al don’t think so. Especially when they get the cooperation of Google and Yahoo.
