Can’t buy me love….$$$

By Blog Bloke November 27th, 2005 Buzz thisBuzz it Share this on Facebook

Paul McCartney doesn’t have John or George around to knock some cents into him.

Apparently Paul’s reported wealth of $1.5 billion is not enough for his retirement fund. He is being criticized by the British media for lending his credentials as a former Beatle to Fidelity mutual fund company for mucho $$$$. They’re calling it “Rubber Sold” and “I am the Ad Man”.

There was a time when the Beatles wouldn’t hear of it. They refused to even get together for a reunion concert for any amount of money.

Three years ago Paul McCartney was quoted as saying, “We’re not in the business of singing jingles. We do not peddle sneakers, pantyhose, or anything else.”

My how times have changed. John should be rolling over in his grave right about now.

Can’t buy me love, everybody tells me so….
