Canonical Link Element Video by Matt Cutts

Watch this video by Matt Cutts from Google as he discusses the canonical link element that was introduced earlier this year. Matt talks about the problem of inconsistent URL structure and duplicate content. Only you can decide if you have a duplicate content issue with your blog, but if you do there are lots of Wordpress plugins that can help. Blogger users are on your own and will have to hack into your code.

Matt Cutts is a knowledgeable guy and I wouldn’t presume to tell him his business, but Matt .. it’s pronounced “canonical” .. as in canon (or gun). :-) Cheers!
