Blogging by the Seat of my (under) Pants

I can relate. So it got me thinking about how this blogging gig allows us to interact with the virtual world whilst hiding our real selves behind our computer screens.
Let’s face it, we all do our darndest to put our best image forward, uploading our best photos to show off our pepsodent smiles or funniest antics. But is that what we are really like?
I can’t help but wonder how many of us are really blogging with unkept hair, a beer in hand and sitting in our underwear, our dirtiest teeshirt, (or perhaps even naked as a jaybird — I’m blushing just at the thought).
So to get the ball rolling the Bloke has a confession to make. At the risk of losing whatever little respect you may have for me, I admit that I often blog in my PJ’s.
Side Note: That reminds me of a story when in my past life I was a practicing litigator (eventually I got good enough and no longer needed to practice, but I digress). I was working out of my home office when I got a call from a judge about a case we discussed at a pre-trial conference. Heh, if he only knew that I was talking to him in my underwear! But then again do we really know what they wear underneath those robes? (I shudder at the thought).
Ok, so there you have it. It’s now out in the open and you can laugh all you want, but at least I’m honest.
So how about you? Come on… ‘fess up, it’s good for your soul.

Thanks Blog Bloke!
Most of the time, I blog in my old prom dress…(grin)
shall be keeping up with the good work of spreading link love…peace!
Your old prom dress??? You can do better than that.
I blog naked all the time but I’m too bashful to admit it. Hence, why I’m saying it anonymously. Love the blog.
Thank you Bloke with your insistance that EVERYONE goes through the same thing setting up a blog. I started with regular Blogger and then made a new Blog with Beta. It was hard but thanks to you, it has set me free not giving up. I feel a connection I was really missing with the outside world living here in La-La Land (Costa Rica). My command center is set up in my bedroom and I wear whatever I happen to have on at the time (usually p.j.s or bikini). Love the freedom!! Teri
Blogging can be time consuming and requires a lot of patience, so being comfortable is a important. BTW, I still haven’t made the switch over to Beta yet. Blogger hasn’t yet sent me an invite. Apparently for some reason the bigger blogs are being left to last.
You make a good point about blogging enabling us to stay connected even if we are elderly shut-ins, living in the land of dinosaurs like you, or just a sociopath like myself.
Teri, you are an example to everyone that with a little hard work and determination it can be done. Keep it up!
