This has been a tough week for Blog Bloke.
1. I’ve had another setback in my health.
2. I had to resolve myself to the fact that I won’t be attending Blog World this year.
3. I decided to become more open and transparent with my opinions and feelings about blogging.
4. Consequently I was flamed, attacked and maligned by my fans 
5. But through it all I’ve discovered that I have a hard core group of blog friends who stuck by me through thick and thin.
Thanks guys, I love you.
Needless to say I’m looking forward to a reprieve this weekend. But there is another silver lining that I’ve noticed and I was wondering if you have too.
My blog seems to be blazing fast now. The pages open almost instantly compared to last week. It’s wonderful!
It wasn’t long ago that we were all complaining about server error messages and sluggish response. Obviously Blogger has been up to something. It was painful to go through but if the performance improvement continues then all is forgiven.
Now if only they can rid of those error messages once and for all.

Well - I tend to disagree !
Only last night I got the Server Error while reading your reasons for not going to Blog Expo.
And I got the it the night before too on Tuesday.
Pages loading faster, maybe yes !

No maybe about it. It’s almost instantaneous over here. Must be your connection. No broadband
The server error messages are less frequent here but they still pop up once or twice a day.
Wadda ya want for free anyway!

Doh ! I a’m on T-1 in University !
May be we oughtta find out if those errors are more frequent in Europe/Asia.
Just a thought !
I’m addicted to broadband ! There is no way I’m going back to dial-up unless in extreme situations.

Jaffer, if you have the time try to keep a log of the number of times the error message pops up. Like I said I’m only seeing it once or twice a day. But if you are seeing it more often that would be an interesting piece of information to have.

Bloke - I just got one of those server errors. It was while reading the full “overcoming writer’s block” article (July 8). I’d gotten there via your Blog Tips link in the footer, if that helps.
It wasn’t repeatable.

Hey Big BB…I thanked you in my first Blog-Blond post in ages today. Sorry to hear of your health set-back too. I haven’t been on the ‘puter much, so this was the first news I’ve heard. Why are the famous B.B. twins having such a hard health year?! Darn it…it’s our turn to shine!
