Blogger Beta is Ready to Roll?
Really? Somehow I have my doubts. According to Blogger:
This morning’s push marks a huge milestone for the version of Blogger in Beta - it’s finally feature complete!
In the next breath they also recommend setting up a “test” FTP blog to make sure it can publish to your ftp server. That sounds more to me like they are still asking us to be beta testers rather than rolling out a finished product. Need more proof?
Most importantly, the addition of FTP to the beta means that account migration will soon (like Really Really Soon) be available to all Blogger users — it’s currently just enabled for blogspot users. Thank you all for your patience with the recent outages and networking problems - they’ll soon be a thing of the past! The catchword being the problems will ”soon” be a thing of the past… meaning they still haven’t got it quite right yet. Heck, they’re still trying to get the old blogger stable. Regardless of what they may say I suspect it will still be a long time coming until they get If you are the venturous type by all means go for it, but for my money I think I’ll wait until they force me kicking and screaming over to the dark side. So why am I being so blaseh about it? Because I still don’t see most of my wish list being implemented. I have a feeling that all of this hoopla will just end up being a waste of my time and sooner or later I will have to port over to Wordpress. Prove me wrong Blogger. I dare ya. If you have already made the switch over let me know how your experience has been.
all most of the kinks out. But keep selling us the buzz boyz and girlz. We can’t wait.
