Boycott Arrogant Bloggers

I DON’T KNOW ABOUT you but I’m fed up with blogs that don’t allow comments.

You know the one’s I’m talking about (no, I’m not going to link to them). Especially all those political blogs who love to drone and hear themselves talk.

There’s really no excuse for this because virtually all blogging software has either commenting built-in, OR there is a plethora of third party plugins out there for the choosing.

In my view anybody who doesn’t allow commenting is an arrogant twit who suffers from a ’sermon from the mount’ mentality and should be boycotted.

As smart as I may think I am, somebody out there just might have another perspective that is worthwhile reading.

So from now on I will no longer link to any blogs without commenting. They can talk to themselves all they want. No more monologues for me. Either join the community or find a pulpit.

After all, that is what gives the blogosphere its power. It took us from the old school static web pages into a dynamic social community of self-expression, the free sharing of ideas and encouraging discussion.

You can’t get anything more democratic than that.
