Bin Laden offers Europe a Truce

“Arab television stations aired a new audio tape purportedly from Osama bin Laden offering a truce with European states if they stop attacking Muslims, but not with the United States. The taped message also vowed revenge on Israel for the death of Hamas leader… ABC/Reuters

I wonder if the day will ever come when a united Europe becomes our enemy? Consider the fact that many of Russia’s states (former or current) are Muslim. Reports that Europe is fast becoming a Muslim majority don’t offer any consolation either. Perhaps not in the foreseeable future, but is it possible that some day Europe could ally with terrorists when the Euro-Union becomes a world power unto its own? Armageddon doesn’t seem so far fetched after all does it.

UPDATE 12pm: The European community has told Bin Laden NO DEAL… at least for now. This dangerous precedent may nevertheless be a sign of things to come where terrorist organizations have enough clout to influence foreign governments. No? Just ask the Taliban.
