Beware of Importing your Blog into WordPress
I thought I would try WordPress.org’s new import feature and see if I could make the switch over from Blogger.
If you are thinking of doing this… think again! Apparently it creates a blogspot page where it republishes all of the pages for it to import.
Not only did it NOT import anything, but it also screwed up the formatting in my posts.
Damn!

UPDATE: Okay, I think I may have found a fix. If you are having the same problem, what happens is the WordPress importer turns off the Convert line breaks setting. Go into your blogger dashboard under “Settings”, “Formatting”, “Convert line breaks” and turn it back on to “Yes”. You will then have to republish your entire blog again. That should fix it. Phew!
It has also been reported that the import process may also mess up your template so be sure to make a current backup before you try this. Kids, do NOT try this at home!

I have done this several times now, the first time I had the same issues as you mention. Then I found a much better way, change your Blogger Feed to list all your posts. Then take that feed and save it. Use the the RSS import feature in Wordpress.
It is faster, cleaner and does not touch your blogger account.
Thanks cybercoder, you geeky guy you
