ASHCROFT’S TURN … "When you run out (of money) people die"…

Attorney General John Ashcroft testified today and took a swipe at the Clinton administration saying the nation was stunned by the Sept. 11 attacks because “for nearly a decade our government had blinded itself to our enemies”.

Ashcroft denied Thomas Pickard’s allegation (acting director of the FBI at the time) that he did not list terrorism as a top item on his agenda when he took office. “Cofer Black, former head of the CIA’s counterterrorism activities states “we didn’t have enough people to do the job and we didn’t have enough money by magnitudes. When you run out (of money) people die. When people die you get more money”… myway.
