And Now for Something Completely Different

BlogNews And Now for Something Completely Different Police drummer Stewart Copeland has been fired from his job as the Police’s official blogger after making fun of Sting in a post.

Guitarist Andy Summers said that he and Sting were not happy with Copeland opining about the band’s early shows, saying they were “totally at sea” and that Sting was a “petulant pansy“.Now, I don’t know if the at sea comment was a message in a bottle, but as far as the petulant pansy remark is concerned I wonder if the Stones might have the same opinion of Mick Jagger? Hah! Source.True story… back in the 80s I was managing and producing R&R bands in TO. One summer’s evening after band practice we were discussing about going over to a local pub to see a new band. They called themselves the “Police”.

I responded by mocking “they will never go anywhere with a dumb name like that“. I guess history has proven otherwise. Maybe that’s why I’m no longer in the music business.
