Almost up to Speed

Well… after yesterday’s fiasco I’m feeling a little more like my old self today. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. The most important software is now installed and tweaked to my liking but all the other fluff will have to wait till the weekend. Thank goodness I’m using Blogger and was able to get my template back no problem because my backup was gone. Perhaps another good reason to use a blogging service in lieu of running your own server.

I haven’t yet installed service pack 1 or Windows updates. I’ll do that after I have installed most of my software. But you know what? Part of me doesn’t want to because I notice a measurable hit on performance after the updates and I’m enjoying the speed right now.
