Lawyer Joke for the Day

By October 29th, 2005 9 Comments   Share

Try this on for size:

The term ‘lawyer‘ that we know today was originally derived from the old english word ‘liar‘. But somewhere in the evolution of jurisprudence it got lost in the translation. Eventually the word was to become synonymous with ‘politician‘.

  1. Very true. I couldn’t appeal that even if I wanted to.

  2. So what’s to appeal? Should we not first seek a consensus.

  3. I was surfing around and looking for jokes and stumbled on this page…

I had a grin of my face after reading this! Lolz!

Liar–>Lawyer–>Politician! ha! That’s a very clever way to put it!

  4. I was just now googling around about this when I stumbled on your post. I’m simply stopping by to say that I definitely liked reading this post, it’s very well written. Are you planning to blog more on this? It looks like there’s more depth here for later posts.

  5. That is a great joke. I’ll have to tell it to my lawyer.

  6. In the stress of being arrested for a crime, it can be difficult to think clearly about finding a criminal attorney to represent one. A good first step is to get referrals from the local Bar Association, or research attorneys according to their specialties.

  7. I would really like to say that this is one of the better jokes that I have read today and believe me when I say that. I especially like the part ‘lawyer’ that was originally derived from the old English word ‘liar’. I feel that is a sentiment that some of us would have regarding to lawyer. Instead of lawyer jokes, I was wondering do you also have casino jokes on your blog as I really like casino jokes. All in all, I would like to say thanks sharing the jokes on your website and I will be able to have a fun time browsing through all of the as well as sharing some of it with my friends.
