FeedBurner Email Service is Updated

has updated it’s new opt-in email subscription service for bloggers:

We have appreciated the positive response to this service from our publishers, long-timers and newcomers alike, and today we fulfilled the number one request: subscriber list management. Now, in the Subscriptions service area for your -enabled feed, you may;

  • View a sortable list of all of your subscribers and their status: active, unverified (they requested a subscription but have not yet activated it), or bounced (their address doesn’t work)
  • Export this list in Microsoft Excel or Plain Text (CSV) format
  • Manage individual subscriber activation status
  • We know a good number of you are also looking forward to richer formatting, , and introductory message customization options. We haven’t forgotten about you! We plan to get to all of that fun stuff soon. As always, More To Come.

    What I don’t understand is how they could have offered an service without the forgoing in the first place. What were they thinking? I’ve come to expect more from . I think I’ll pass and wait and see if the product matures a bit more.

    In the mean time I will continue using FeedBlitz. It meets my needs and their support is excellent.

      Yeah, it seems they were in a real hurry to throw it out to the public.
